Remember last position in timeline
complete

Timeline always jumps to newest toot when starting tooot.app. Would be nice if app saves/ remembers last postion.
Coralie Mercier
This says "complete" and it’s true so long as the app is not re-sprung (after enough inactivity that it re-loads entirely). In this case, such as the next day I use it (but it can be after an hour or several), the "following" view always loads toots "to latest". So I need to scroll down to where I left off.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help/fix 🙏

Understood. I myself also want to have this feature. But see the comment here: https://github.com/tooot-app/app/issues/490#issuecomment-1329845173.

tooot: make it an option to do it anyways, having it jump around a bit while loading new posts is still better than having to frantically scroll backwards and hopefully remember where I left off

Ideally with cloud synch between different devices.

I've just downloaded Tooot and was completely bemused by the lack of this feature. Why would anyone start at the end and read backwards? Please add the option to pick up where we left off. Thank you.

This would be great. As far as I know, only Metatext does this. Adding it would make Tooot the better app.

Yes. Please give us an option to pick up where we left off
